WINTER SURVIVAL PACK FOR HOMELESS VETS
DV wants to help homeless veterans across America stay warm this winter. Please help us reach our goal of supplying vets on the streets with 1,000 winter survival bags. You can pledge as little as 1/4 a bag or multiple bags. Please see below for the contents of each bag and for more information.
Calculating time remaining
The number of homeless veterans is on the rise. In 2017, the number ticked up for the first time in seven years to 40,000. Many of these homeless vets live in areas affected by extreme winters, with sub freezing temperatures and feet of snow. DV is launching our biggest project to date. This winter, we hope to handout 1,000 winter survival bags to homeless vets across the country. We need your help to make this happen. You can pledge as little as 1/4 bag or up to as many bags as you'd like. DV6 (Michael Rivers), a former homeless veteran and founder of Dysfunctional Veterans / DV Farm, will travel with a team to several cities across the country to give the bags to homeless veterans.
Each survival bag contains:
- Hand Warmer Packs
- Thermal Socks
- Hygiene Kit
- Assorted snacks
